Edward
P. Jurkiewicz practices in the areas of commercial litigation, family law, land use & zoning, foreclosures,
collections, real estate, bankruptcy, and
related transactional work. He has tried
numerous complex cases, and has trial and
appellate experience in state and federal
courts. Attorney Jurkiewicz holds a Bachelor's
degree from UConn and a Juris Doctor degree
from UConn Law. He has received numerous
recognitions for pro bono
legal service, and is a member of the Commercial
Law & Bankruptcy Section of the Connecticut
Bar Association.
A musician and a reader of history who
also enjoys cycling, tennis, hiking, and
skiing in his spare time, Attorney Jurkiewicz
has long been active
in environmental and open-space issues.
Attorney Jurkiewicz recently chaired a committee
to draft an enabling ordinance to establish
a conservation commission in his hometown,
which was approved unanimously by voters
at a Town Meeting. Attorney Jurkiewicz now
chairs the conservation commission whose creation he spearheaded. He is a past director and an
active member of the Farmington
River Watershed Association and the
Burlington
Historical Society, and an active member
of the Burlington
Land Trust. |
